Searching for Justice Anria Galang Espiritu Rape-slay Victim

A 26-year-old woman without life has been found just floating along in the rice fields located in a remote village of Calumpit, Bulacan, 10 A.M., last Thursday.

In a report, the woman, who goes by the name of Anria “Anne” Galang Espiritu was allegedly abused then killed by several suspects last Thursday, August 14, 2014. She received a total blow of 21 stabs with a knife on her nape and back shoulder, according to the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO). The sustained wounds caused a lot of blood loss which lead it to her immediate death.

The victim’s body was recovered; she was not already wearing her undergarments, instead, they found panty near the site which gave them the idea that she was abused. The only clothing she has left on left was a gray skirt, t-shirt and a necklace. Police have speculated that the screwdriver and the chains which were found near the area were used to murder the poor woman.

As for the brutality of the crime against Anria, it was said that the suspects were ‘high’ because of drugs when it happened. The police also have been pondering and investigating whether or not the suspects would have any other motives on Anria, but nothing as such have been found through the investigation.

The news easily spread as one of those who saw the victim posted the situation and the picture on Facebook. With the widespread shares, one of Anria’s close friends created a certain fan page on facebook with the name “Justine for Anria Galang”. It even garnered 22,000 likes and prayers and sympathy and hatred towards the criminals were poured graciously on it. The interment will be announced soon on the online page.
