Philippines in the last game of 5 took the pride against Senegal. The 2 point lead game with all Filipino on the court. Score of 81- 79 in favor of Philippines. The first win in FIBA 2014.

In the past 40 years after qualifying for FIBA last year we are able to win a game in this tournament.

All Filipino fans in the side court are all shouting together with the other nationalities. The effort and heart that the Philippine basketball team Gilas showed almost made us teary eyed for the win. Coach Chot Reyes was also overwhelmed cheering for the win in the last seconds of the game.(scroll down for video)

Together with Junmar Fajardo, the Mighty Mouse Jimmy Alapag took the lead and saved the day for Gilas Pilipinas, with all the members of the team efforts and supports made us more proud to be a Filipino.

All eyes on Gilas games that has been more engaging and entertaining to watch as former sports reporter and now a member of the Miami Heat organization Couper Moorhead. He also said that Gilas Philipinas is deserving to be in the 16 rounds of FIBA 2014.

Happy to see the Philippines get a win after all the close games. Wish they advanced. They've been more enjoyable than Team USA so far.
