The grand finale set stage in ExCel London Exhibition and Convention Centre in London last December 14. 125 ladies from different countries walked the ramp for the last time for a chance to bag the Miss World Title. But after everything, the 22-year old beauty from South Africa succeeded over all of them.
Strauss is the third South African to be named Miss World title but only the second to win it outright.

Edina Kulcsar from Hungary and Elizabeth Safrit from the United States came as a runner-up and third runner up respectively. Contestants from Australia, Mexico, United States, Kenya, Hungary, Brazil, Guyana, England, South Africa and India all made it to the top 10 semi-finalists. Miss Thailand MaeyaNonthawanThongleng won the People’s Choice award.
Other special awards are the Multimedia round, won by Miss United States Elizabeth Safrit, Top Model Winner was bagged by Miss Bosnia and Herzegovina IsidoraBorovcanin while Miss Sweden Olivia Asplund won the Beach Fashion, and Miss Malaysia Dewi Liana Seriestha is the Talent Competition winner.
The Vamps and Sky Blu from LMFAO performed for the said event. Miss World 2013 Megan Young who passed her crown that evening also co-hosted the pre-show event with Frankie Cena. While the former Miss World also hosted the grand finale with Tim Vincent.
Philippines’ Bet Valerie Weigman made it to the top 25 but was unable to reach the next leg of the competition. The top six gave tribute to Miss World Chairman Julia Morley while the competition also gave honors to Miss World 1994 Aishwarya Rai Bacchchan who was present in the grand finale with her husband Abhishek Bachchan, daughter Aardhaya and mother Vrinda Rai.
